In this eerie portrayal of projected mirror images, Barrioquinto creates a firm statement of divine oneness and enduring brotherhood. At first glance, these apparitions may elicit dread and inner haunting as if in a recurring dream. However, the artist explains that this parallel display of figures is simply an allegory to his church’s rightful union with Christ. Because after each respectful rite of baptismal, he stresses that his enlightened brothers share the same image of Christ, basically because they are now trudging the same path that the savior had walked through and are now living their lives the same way as their messiah did. Like a nameless, shapeless threshold of shadows, their souls now bare a common image. Also, the artist added that the act of singing as a choir resembles unity of faith and the accompaniment of angels. Unity not just as a religion, but as one breathing amalgamated whole.
